Lake District Sky Trails 2025
Demo/Training Run Sunday 15th June
We are delighted to be working in conjunction with our suppliers Rab and Scarpa to support our friends at Lake District Sky Trails for the fourth year running!
This year we are very proud to offer a unique training run looking at technical skills starting from the shop, taking in Red Screes, Dove Crag and High Pike. The run will be lead by Lake District Skyrunning creator and Race Director Charlie Sproson and will offer a fantastic opportunity to chat about….
Kit talk on the hill - discuss Safety/Mandatory Kit
Hot weather/Cold weather discussion
Use of bivi bags etc
Light scrambling/skyrunning session
Downhill/Uphill Skills
Charlie is no stranger to technical skyrunning, having run in the Lakes for many years, including the Bob Graham and an early completion [2012] of the very esoteric Classic Rock Round; the ultimate Skyrunners prize in the magical Lake District!
“I love delivering these types of days, all about the style of running that fits me the best. Technical running is when I come alive and I’m really looking forward to imparting knowledge and skills learnt the hard way.”

This mountain skills day is for participants of the LDST Sky Races this June, offering skills and knowledge on how to tackle a technical race using the right kit, understanding the terrain and how to deal with it and making sure that safety is paramount.
Our fantastic suppliers will have kit here for runners to test on the day including Veil packs from Rab and footwear from Scarpa. There will also be a small bundle of Voom goodies for everyone attending.
Lake District Sky Trails, Rab, Scarpa, Voom and The Climbers Shop are proud to give back to the mountain community, pledging all proceeds from this event to be donated to Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team.
