Welcome Back!

We are REALLY looking forward to welcoming you back into our shops because for us, being locked down has been really hard. It is still important that we all work together to keep each other safe and we want to do all we can to ensure we can re-open, and stay open, safely.

You’ll find a few changes in our shops when you visit us because for now, we are limiting entry to keep everyone safe:

If you are in a rush or know what you are looking for – please consider using Click & Collect because we may be at capacity in the shops.

Looking to buy new footwear? We have an online appointment system, in place so that we can serve as many people as safely as possible throughout the day. It’s really easy to use and will ensure that you have plenty of time and space to make the right choice for you.

Enjoy your lunch while we do! We’ll be closing at lunch at 1pm for an hour everyday. This allows us to clean the shop and allow our staff a respite from wearing facemasks all day, so please call back after 2pm.

If you are looking for advice then we are very happy to help and don’t forget we are uploading new Buyers Guides to our blog all of the time. There is a wealth of information on our new Joe Brown Outdoor Academy website, all of which is designed to help you buy a great piece of kit that will last for many outdoor adventures. Of course, you can e-mail us or call us on ye olde telephone too.

When you come and see us please remember our shops are only small and some of our staff are returning to work after having been furloughed since December, please be patient while we try our very best to serve you – we really want to - but coping with new online technologies, increased numbers of people and wearing a face mask all day will take a little getting used to.

Finally, please accept our heartfelt thanks for all of your support throughout this past year. As a business we have had to become a little smaller but by focusing on the strong foundations laid by the founders of Joe Browns and The Climbers Shop we are looking towards a very bright future.
