Safety Notice for Edelrid Ohm II, Ohmega, Fuse
Edelrid have issued a safety notice to all users of the Ohm II, Ohmega and Fuse belay devices.
The products are not faulty so there is no recall, however, a screw that was installed incorrectly was discovered at a climbing wall last month. This screw is designed to be used by the climber to swap out worn lanyards.

This connective screw consists of a barrel with an internal thread on one end and a screw with a hex head on the other.
For all products, the barrel is inserted from one direction through two metal flanges and the textile lanyard, and the screw is screwed into the barrel from the opposite direction until the head is flush with the flanges.
EDELRID hereby advises users of the OHM II, OHMEGA, and FUSE products to follow the instructions in the user manuals regarding the proper assembly of the screw connection and to ensure that the sleeve and screw are assembled in opposite directions.
